About Alex
Mr. Alex Ng is the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Metis SG. He joined in January 2021 and was appointed as Director in July 2021. He was instrumental in setting up the Singapore office and putting in place the various key personnel that make up the core team. Alex has more than 20 years of experience in the financial industry and has had the opportunity to build his career by taking on leadership position in areas of Product Management, Training & Development and Distribution Channel Management across numerous established financial institutions. Previously, he held the position of the Head of Partnership Distribution of NTUC Income; and led the Bancassurance, Financial Adviser and Telesales channels. During his tenure, he also initiated and established Income Lite branches in selected NTUC FairPrice outlets. Prior to NTUC Income, he was with Prudential Assurance Company Singapore as Head of Sales for the UOB/Prudential Bancassurance Partnership before moving on to set up a training department as Head of Partnership Academy. His last portfolio there, as Head of Channel, was to manage the SingPost/Prudential Partnership. Before Prudential, he was the Head of Bancassurance of Standard Chartered Singapore. Alex is a graduate of the Nanyang Technological University (NTU) with a Bachelor’s Degree majoring in Banking and has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from The University of Technology, Sydney (UTS) with a major in International Marketing. He is also holder to various professional qualifications which include Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC), Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), Diploma in General Insurance & Risk Management, Certificate in Trust Services and Advanced Certificate in Trust Services.
